Art: Casino money could bankroll realism

Re: “TAM fails to get past Western art’s stereotypes” (TNT, 12-25).

The article deals with Erivan Haub’s uber-generous donation of Western art to the Tacoma Art Museum.

The “stereotypes and inaccuracies” of the exhibits could easily have been avoided had a wing of the true and accurate art been built prior to Haub’s gift.

For a funding source, monies from the millions of dollars taken in by Native American casinos comes to mind.
