Cape Ann quarry sets the dance stage

ROCKING OUT The quarries of Cape Ann are known for their beauty, history, and swimming holes. Now, for the fourth year, there’s an additional attraction.

Dušan Týnek Dance Theatre, a New York based company, presents a site-specific performance at Little Parker Quarry in
Rockport on Sunday, Aug 2.

Presented by Windhover Performing Arts Center
in Rockport, “Quarry Dance 4” uses the architecture of the quarry — its ledges, cliffs, terraces, and water — in the performance.

The event begins at 1 p.m., is open to the public and free. Donations are welcome. No reservations are required.

There’s a shuttle from Granite Pier for $1 per person each
