Exhibit leads effort to jumpstart art scene

STEVENS POINT — A new exhibit at the Scarabocchio Art Museum will mark the beginning of a new direction for the downtown fixture.

Daniel O’Neal’s “Magic Realism: Selected Paintings from Four Decades,” is on view through Nov. 6 at the museum, 800 Main St. An opening reception for the exhibit is being held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the museum, and is free and open to the public.

The Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra took over the management of the museum when it moved in administrative offices into the building in January as part of an agreement with the city of Stevens Point,
