Johnson Fine Arts Center schedule already brimming; find dates and upcoming performances here

Northern State University’s art galleries and revamped Johnson Fine Arts Center will host a variety of student, faculty and national artist exhibitions and performances through the 2016-17 school year.

A new art gallery at the JFAC has a lineup of sculpture, painting, photography and sound exhibitions. Senior thesis exhibitions and permanent collections will rotate in the president’s and student center galleries. The art department will also host visiting scholar Kathryn McFadden, a writer and adjunct professor from Philadelphia, Oct. 26-28. She will be giving two lectures on campus.

National acts Three Dog Night and the Moscow Ballet will make use of the main stage theater at Johnson Fine Arts Center.

The multipurpose black box theater will be used for a variety of music and theater performances like Northern’s upcoming “The Metromaniacs,” and “Next to Normal.”
