Life drawing at Chelmsford Center for the Arts

Did you know that when drawing the human body the artist never sketches the head first? Or that besides the obvious, human skin is composed of blues, greys and greens?

On Jan. 13 and 27 and Feb. 10 and 24, area artists will learn this and more when Michael Vieira brings his Life Drawing classes to the Chelmsford Center for the Arts.

A staple of metropolitan studios and art schools, life drawing classes are virtually non-existent in rural and suburban locations, putting serious artists at a great disadvantage. Because artists need to learn to draw the human anatomy from live models, Vieira is providing an extraordinary opportunity for our art community.
