HUDSON, NY– The Olana Partnership and the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros (CPPC) are in dialogue this season as Olana continues to explore the ways in which 19th century landscape art inspired contemporary art in the Americas. Join Luis Pérez-Oramas, Ph.D, the former Curator of Latin American Art at The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York City, on Saturday, October 14 at 4pm to learn more about landscape art in Latin America. Pérez-Oramas will offer our audiences an in depth look at artist Jesús Rafael Soto’s typologies of Penetrables, one of which is part of the CPPC collections, and has been installed at Olana this season as part of the exhibition OVERLOOK: Teresita Fernández confronts Frederic Church at Olana.
