Saint Louis Art Museum Presents New East Building

Art_Mus._8The Saint Louis Art Museum enjoys the reputation of being in the top tier of art museums in the United States, housing more than 30,000 pieces of art from almost every culture and time period.

On June 29 and 30, the museum will open its doors to a long-awaited expansion, one sure to further elevate its national status.

The new East Building, at 211,431 square feet, will showcase 21 additional galleries. Seven of the galleries will be used for collections and temporary exhibitions, allowing the museum to use its former temporary exhibition galleries for the permanent collection.
