Fashion Institute of Design Merchandising (FIDM) and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts Sciences present “The Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design.” The seventh annual exhibition of Emmy-nominated costumes continues through Oct. 19 in the FIDM Museum Galleries, 919 S. Grand Ave., Los Angeles. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Admission is free. 213-624-1200.

The Pasadena Summer Youth Orchestra concert featuring bassoon soloist Nathan Kirchoff performing Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto along with Hermann’s Prelude to “Psycho,” Warlock’s “Capriole Suite”, Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess” and “Hoedown” from Copland’s “Rodeo.” 6 p.m. Levitt Pavilion in Memorial Park Walnut Street and Raymond Avenue, Pasadena.
