‘Still Life’ oil painting class offered in late January

Have you always wanted to oil paint but don’t know where to start? Do you already know how to paint but need some inspiration or motivation?

Join local artist Susan E. Jones and learn the fundamentals of oil painting. Jones will share her process for painting still life compositions and her techniques for mixing paint, working with brushes, mediums, and understanding values and composition.

Each student will complete several oil paintings within the four-week session.

“Introduction to Oil Painting: Still Life” is sponsored by Friends of Maury County Parks and is a recreational program for area residents 16 years old or older.

Classes begin Jan. 8 and are taught in the Nell H. Wright Building located on Maury County Park Drive off Lion Parkway.
