Woodbury Gallery Welcomes Three New Artists

WOODBURY — Fine Line Art Gallery will welcome three new award-winning Connecticut artists during an open house reception from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 6, in the gallery at 319 Main St. South.

The artists are Sandra Karakoosh, Liz Monahan and Carole Moore.

Their latest paintings in oil, acrylic and pastel will be on exhibit, refreshments will be served, and there will be art demonstrations. Admission is free.

Ms. Karakoosh’s passion for color and nature are visible in her landscape, still life and dramatic, award-winning bird paintings. She works mainly in oil and pastel.

“There is nothing like the rhythm, excitement and physicality of sculpting paint into a scene that invites the viewer to explore and interpret,” said the Cheshire artist.

Naugatuck artist Liz Monahan has been painting for more than two decades. Working primarily in oil and pastels, she expresses her love of nature in her peaceful landscapes and water scenes,
