Looking back over the year 2012, I’m remembering all the great art events I saw and covered. Some of them are still on the walls to be seen for a few more weeks, and two of the most noteworthy — the expansion of the Yale University Art Gallery in New Haven and the opening of Gallery II at Seven Bridges in Greenwich — will be there forever. Here’s a rundown of the best of 2012:
1. Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven: Every state needs one art gallery that takes more than a day to absorb. Connecticut has one now, since this museum unveiled its $135 million renovation a few weeks ago.
