Artist celebrated historic homes, rural landscapes of Waterloo Region

Growing up in the 1930s, Bert and his identical twin Jim Williams were never discouraged from pursuing their passion for art which for most families struggling to survive during the Depression must have seemed a frivolous hobby.

“They were always painting when they were young,” said daughter Jennifer Williams.
