Bidder’s conference for grant applications gets rescheduled

A mandatory bidder’s conference, which is required to apply for Lake County Health and Human Services Division grant for children’s and health and human-services programs, was scheduled for today has been rescheduled for Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. Another conference is set for April 3 from 9 a.m. to noon. Both conferences will be held in Rooms A and B on the second floor of the Lake County Emergency Communications and Operations Center, 425 W. Alfred St., Tavares.

Organizations eligible for funding include public and private nonprofit organizations, local governments and public or private schools. Applicants must demonstrate a sufficient level of administrative capacity to effectively manage funds received. All proposals selected for funding must serve Lake County residents

Children’s Services Council grants can receive between $5,000 to $25,000 in funding for programs that provide youth prevention and/or intervention programs emphasizing one or more of the following needs: abuse-and-neglect; after-school
