Call for landscape art for new exhibit

White Ripple Gallery Co. is seeking art submissions for the upcoming “Indigenous Landscapes: Imprints of the South Shore” exhibit that will be displayed from Feb. 9 through March 19 at the Indiana Welcome Center.

Pieces can depict any natural setting or landscape, native plant, etc., that is indigenous to the states of Illinois, Indiana or Michigan in or near the Lake Michigan shore that remain undisturbed since the times of the indigenous people.

Artists can submit up to five pieces by Jan. 19. Any medium, as well as abstract or representational pieces, will be accepted. Visit

Spokesman for Indiana Pork

Bub’s BBQ owner and chef RJ “Bub” Howard has been named the 2015 spokesperson and ambassador at all events, meetings and media events for Indiana Pork. As part of his ambassadorship, the DeMotte restaurateur also will be doing cooking demonstrations throughout the state.
