Everson Museum will fill with sights and sounds: Explore CNY and Syracuse arts

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Art Beat is a weekly roundup of some of the art, music and theater happenings taking place in Central New York and opportunities for artists to showcase their talents.

The staff of Everson Museum of Art is sharing the love for all things art, music, food and chocolate this week. “The Look of Love” will include a tour of the new exhibition, “Prendergast to Pollock: American Modernism from the Munson-Williams-Proctor Arts Institute followed by wine and chocolate tasting. Greenwood Winery is providing the wine and Speach Family Candy Shoppe is bringing its chocolates. Admission is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.

On Valentine’s Day, Symphoria will fill the museum with music at 7:30 p.m. for “Sweet Encounters: Music Art @ Everson.” Guest artist, guitarist Ken Meyer will perform Rodrigo’s Guitar Concerto de Aranjuez. Heather Buchman conducts the program that includes Faure’s
