Laurel Sherrie’s artwork, “Expressive Landscapes of Rural and Wild California,” will be featured in a special Artist of the Month exhibit in the Guild Room at Gallery Los Olivos in January, through Feb. 6
Sherrie is a popular oil painter with clients throughout the U.S. in private collections, public exhibits and diverse collaborations, such as Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and other hospital installations.
The artist’s work is diverse, including waterscapes, vineyards, landscapes and unique settings such as local buildings, Hearst Castle and protected lands.
“My work is driven by the forces of nature,” Sherrie said. “California is amazing with its variety of climates and scenery. I see potential paintings everywhere. There is a lot to communicate, and I do it with paint.
