ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Glass can be opaque, translucent, transparent, etched, blown, cast and/or fused. Palette Contemporary Art and Craft has a gallery full of glass sculpture by Czech glass master Frantisck Vizner and fellow Czech glass artists Pavel Hlava, Petr Hora, Karl Palda and Ladislav Palecek through Feb. 6. The show is titled “Bookends.”

This is a front-to-back wow show filled with beautiful illusions, holographic reflections and jaw-dropping colors. And by the way, the walls feature two drop-dead-gorgeous lithographs by Alexander Calder and a plethora of paintings ranging from contemporary realism to revisitations of abstract expressionism.
