Finals week for art students at the Perryville Higher Education Center was something the entire community was invited to enjoy, providing them the opportunity to share their creations and showcase what they learned during a semester with Art History teacher Elizabeth Manns.
Manns also teaches Introduction to Humanities, as well as Drawing and Painting.
The exhibition, held earlier this month in the upstairs gallery at the education center, was the 10th art show for the outreach center, and Manns said it was their largest.
“More than 20 students participated this semester,” Mann said.
“I’m pleased with their work, and their willingness to try new things, while adhering to the basic art principals of balance, design and color.
“When those elements are mastered, I encourage them to express their individuality and creativity.”
