Landscape beauty shines in two exhibits at Mulberry Art Studios

When Rebecca DiMaio paints the land, she looks to the sky.

It may be a stormy sky, or a sky at dawn, or a cloud-tossed windy blue sky. The light and shadows of the sky above bring the earth below to life.

“When I paint a landscape, I want to express the feeling I had when I was there,” says DiMaio. “Some people have called my work photorealistic, but it’s more emotional than that.”

DiMaio is only 22 but has mastered oil painting with maturity far beyond her years. She found her calling as an artist through a different path. The
