Landscapes Featured in Library Show

NAUGATUCK — The Whittemore Library, 243 Church St., is featuring the artwork of Middlebury resident Sue Healy.

Mrs. Healy has been a student of a variety of disciplines including illustration, printmaking, graphic design, portraiture and life study and Adobe programs.

She holds both A.A. and BFA degrees from Napa College in California and Christopher Newport University in Virginia as well as a degree in art education. She has studied at the master’s level at Fontbonne College in Missouri.

Mrs. Healy’s landscapes invoke the places she has lived or visited as the wife of a military serviceman. California, Connecticut, Virginia, Missouri, Alabama and Germany are represented in many of her pieces.

A strong sense of place dominates her work as she tries to capture what she saw, felt, heard and thought at a particular moment in time.
