The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) will have the internationally known artist Adele Moros demonstrating watercolor landscape painting at its meeting on Wednesday, June 11. The meeting will begin at 7:30 pm, in the lower meeting room of Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street (at the flagpole).
The demonstration is open to the public. Admission is free.
Adele Moros is a multi-media artist with a background in fashion illustration. In her family everyone painted, and she always knew she would be an artist.
In 2000 her Tiffany Cow, auctioned for charity, raised $60,000 at the New York City Cow Parade. Slides of that cow are in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, and are used in their lectures on Tiffany.
