ArtScapades continues its series, detouring from European art to American art, with a Monday, May 5, presentation of American Impressionism. The lecture will be presented by Robin Hoffman and Jodi Stiffelman of ArtScapades at 7 in the Adrian Lamb Room.
American Impressionism is fifth in the six lecture series examining European art from the mid-18th Century to the end of the 19th Century. ArtScapades will explain how the movement arrived in America, including the influence of art dealers, the education of American artists in Europe and the formation of art colonies in the states.
