Library’s walls are filled with warm, lush landscapes in the art exhibition, Atmospheric Landscape Paintings by William McCarthy, opening Friday, January 24, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
McCarthy creates his oil-based landscapes entirely from his memory and imagination. Beginning with a process of thumbnail sketches to inform and guide, his images spring forth with vibrancy and color harmony to create a sense of place in time with the ever-changing atmosphere. More than 50 paintings will be featured in the exhibition.
William McCarthy is a Connecticut-based artist who has been painting for as long as he can remember.
