BRIDGEWATER — A new exhibit of oil paintings by Roxbury artist Ann Harriet Carew will be on view from Saturday, February 1, to Monday, March 31, in the Burnham Library, 62 Main St. South.
Still Rivers and Sparkling Streams: Landscapes and Still Lifes in Oil will feature scenes from Uganda to Mexico to Litchfield County.
Ms. Carew has traveled and painted extensively to follow her “yearning to engage the beautiful.”
Her talent was recognized at an early age and she pursued a degree in fine arts.
As she continued to pursue her love of beauty, her search led her to Yale Divinity School where she explored the spiritual dimension of creativity and earned a master’s of divinity.
She deepened her studies of art with Frank Mason of the Art Students League and Edward DeVoe of Washington Art Association.
