The Gallery featuring 36 artists

PORTSMOUTH — The work of 36 artists will grace the walls for the “Winter to Spring ’15 Exhibit” at The Gallery at 100 Market, Portsmouth.

“As always it runs the gamut, and as always the art is some of the best the region has to offer,” says Michael Simchik, gallery patron. “There are works for every taste in this exhibit, with simply stunning examples in each genre.”

“Winter to Spring ’15 Exhibit” opened March 13. The show not only offers a range in styles, but a wide range in the experience of those exhibiting.

Artists range from the mature, professional the likes of Wendy Turner and Christopher Gowell, both renowned regional artists, to students, many currently studying at the New Hampshire Institute of Art (NHIA).

The institute reached out to its affiliates, current and past, teachers and students, encouraging them to submit work in hopes of introducing both artist
