Visual artists want to scan you at Carnegie Museum of Art event – Tribune

Ever considered a 3-D scan of your own head?

Internationally acclaimed visual artists Ewelina Aleksandrowicz and Andrej Wojtas — who go by the moniker Pussykrew — are looking for participants whose features can be transformed into “digital environments for the #nowseethis Party at the Carnegie Museum of Art on May 9. The celebration features a fairly incredible lineup of music and artists, including swiftly rising avant-RB star Kelela, Danish singer-producer Dinner and DJ-producer-writer Juliana Huxtable.

From noon to 1:30 p.m. April 23, there will be an artist lecture titled “MUTAT3Dâ€ and a 3-D scanning session at the Hunt Library, IDeATe Studio A, at Carnegie Mellon University. It’s free, and anyone can participate. As an added incentive, there will be pizza.

The Polish-born, Brussels-based artists are crafting visual accompaniment for Kelela’s music May 9, but it’s anyone’s guess
