EDMONTON – Furniture streaming out and vintage French doors coming off their hinges can only mean one thing in the House of Boom: itâ€™s time for another pop-up art show.
Jon Pelsterâ€™s residence on the edge of Mill Creek Ravine is a place of ridiculous creativity â€” heâ€™s a carver and jewelry-maker himself â€” and the place is known for its invented-on-the-spot backyard Olympics and coed street hockey in the Shamrock Curling lot nearby. As to why he occasionally turns this century-old, two-storey home into a rebel gallery space, Pelsterâ€™s answer is simple: â€œWhy not?â€�
